Describe any Recent Maintenance that has been done: This is a rare ’90 V-6 Sunrader with sought-after molded fiberglass construction to minimize leaks. Sunraders with a V-6 engine are very hard to find, with only about 6 or so coming up for sale each year in the entire country. Compared to the more common 4-cylinder engine, the V-6 has more adequate power for climbing hills and the ability to tow a moderate load. Interstate speeds of 70mph are easier to maintain, and the ride in the cab is much more comfortable and quieter. The shiny new exterior stripes are shades of blue (not the more common black ones), and the outside has been polished and detailed to make it look very attractive. This RV includes a built-in 2.5K generator for self-contained power. Plus it comes with the large factory-original storage box on the rear for carrying lawn chairs, etc. (Only about a third of all Sunraders have these boxes). “Way above average" aptly describes this coach, as you can see when you read its many features.  Please know that this RV is NOT a project. Just the opposite — everything has been carefully gone over to be as nice as possible.  The V-6 chassis has automatic transmission and can get up to 16 miles per gallon. It is mechanically better than most, having been completely serviced and tuned up by a competent mechanic (see list of specifics). Although it has 99k chassis miles (about average), the overall condition of this Toyota RV is more like that of one with half as many on the odometer. Now, with new fuel injectors it drives quite peppy compared to most other Toyota RVs. No applicable recalls. All seven tires (proper Load Range D) have very good tread. It has the full-floating one-ton rear axle and six-lug wheels throughout.  The almost-new spare tire is located underneath.  There are Air Springs in the rear to provide a more comfortable ride for passengers, and for leveling the coach somewhat while camping.  There is no significant chassis rust; vehicle is originally from California. The exterior blue stripes (a rare color for Sunraders) are all new making this vehicle quite stunning compared to most.  (Finding a great exterior on a Toyota RV is one of the harder things to come by — you can be proud to drive this nice-looking coach.)  UPGRADES: This coach includes all standard features plus these significant upgrades compared to other models of Toyota RVs: The 2500 watt built-in generator was recently serviced — Refrigerator has been upgraded to a LARGER capacity model (taller) with a refrigerator thermometer added that has an external digital readout, and an automatically controlled fan for the outside refrigerator coils that maximizes cooling — Built-in microwave oven added — Hot water heater that lights from a switch inside (very convenient) — New tile-look backsplash in kitchen and bath —12v oscillating fan added for cooling the coach in hot weather — Slide-out pantry shelves under sink (unique to Sunraders) — Euro-look fiberglass overhead cupboards (also unique to Sunraders, and not available on all models) — Ducted heating (also uncommon) for even distribution of heat from furnace to the dinette and rear — Separate shower stall is all fiberglass (not wall-papered walls), and it has a light and a window for ventilation (unusual in a Toyota RV) — Low-pile carpet recently installed is easy-to-keep-clean — Roof vent cover allows the vent to open even in the rain — Large fiberglass rear storage box tips forward for easy access — “Skid wheels” under the rear protect waste plumbing lines when going through dips — Marker lights front and rear have all been replaced with LED fixtures (much less prone to being intermittent). RECENT CHASSIS SERVICE: New fuel injectors have made significant improvement — Full tune-up with new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap — Cleaned throttle bottle body and PCV — Oil Change, new oil filter, air filter, and gas filter — Transmission flushed — Cooling system flushed. ALL RV SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN TESTED AND EVALUATED: Both the engine battery and the deep-cycle coach battery are good — Propane furnace, hot water heater, stove/oven, water pump, and toilet all work properly — Larger refrigerator cools on propane or 110v electricity — Duo-Therm brand roof air conditioner runs very cold — Converter /on-board battery charger functions as it should — Pleated blinds (upgrade) are in good condition throughout — Screens and window channels have all been cleaned (most sellers don't bother) — Fresh Water tank is sanitized; holding tanks are empty; tank gauges function properly (often not the case in used RVs) — Front overcab windows and roof vents have been recently sealed to minimize the possibility for any leaks. CAB AND CHASSIS FEATURES: Easy and quiet to drive — Power steering — Cruise control — Tilt steering wheel with cover— Overdrive with ECT power boost switch for climbing hills — Dash clock (not all have this) — Additional cab ceiling light added for better illumination — AM-FM stereo radio has speakers in both cab and coach rear — Cab air conditioner runs cold — Fresnel lens on rear window for wide-angle viewing while driving. ADDITIONAL INTERIOR FEATURES: Cleaner than average inside, non-smoking vehicle, no pets — Windows are tinted to help keep the coach cooler in hot weather — Propane leak detector under sofa has an added on/off switch to save the battery in storage — Smoke detector and fire extinguisher for safety — Cover for stove burners for maximum counter space including anti-rattle pad — Splash guard added next to sink — Spice rack over stove — Closet has automatic light — Full-size medicine cabinet in bath (also a Sunrader feature) — Bath sink has a center-control faucet handle (instead of two) — Shower has a shampoo rack and additional towel bars and clothes hanging bar — Bathroom cups dispenser — Room thermometer and storage for plastic bags over refrigerator — Rotating kitchen sink sprayer — Maps rack added by entry — Convenient shelf added by overcab bed — Hat hooks added above door — Fresh shelf liners installed throughout. Restoring Toyota RVs is our hobby. It has taken us almost a year to refurbish this one to be a nice as possible for its new owners, and we take pride in our work. Outside, it looks at least 10 years newer than is. We have polished the exterior and installed new blue vinyl stripes that sparkle in the sun (see pictures). As we mentioned, finding a Toyota RV with a nice-looking outside is getting harder and harder to come by. Also as was mentioned, the V-6 engine was carefully serviced by a competent mechanic with new fuel injectors, a full tune-up, all fresh fluids and filters; the rest of the drivetrain has been given proper service and maintenance as well. This RV comes with air springs, a rear hitch, and skid wheels. All the RV systems have been tested and fixed to function as they should (even the tank gauges, which often don’t). The roof air and cab air both blow cold; generator was recently serviced. The interior is cleaner than most with recently-upgraded upholstery, black-out curtains, pleated shades, easy-clean carpeting, and fresh shelf liners throughout. The kitchen has a stove with cover, oven, double sink, fridge, and built-in microwave. The fridge has been replaced with a larger capacity model and has a convenient readout for the interior temperature. There is an additional exterior cooling fan for the fridge coils, that automatically turns on when needed. The water heater easily ignites from a switch inside. The rear bathroom has a separate full-fiberglass shower stall with a window. Heating is ducted for even distribution. Roof Air Conditioning plus a 12-volt fan help keep the interior cool. The roof vent has a cover to open even in the rain. Large tilt-down storage box on rear. All new LED marker lights. Tanks are sanitized and empty. This Sunrader comes with multiple owner’s manuals (not all vintage RVs do). A solar panel with charge controller, and a HDTV roof antenna are available for install if desired. Plus we have added LOTS of little touches and bonus accessories that we have learned from experience will make it more convenient to camp in. If you are looking for a Toyota RV that has already had just about everything taken care of, so you can start to enjoy it right away, then this one might be a match. The price of $22,950 does reflect its way-above-average condition — carefully refurbished with many accessories, completely serviced engine and drivetrain — plus the hours and hours of effort we have put into fixing everything we can find to fix so you don’t have to. This RV should be suitable for camping for another decade or even two. See the photo album with 126 pictures in the link at the top. Contact us on the PHONE, (texts don’t work) if you think this might be the right Toyota RV for you. Phone replies will be given priority over emails. Please study this complete description first, and then call and we will be happy to chat with you and answer all of your questions. If you are seriously interested, we can take this RV off the market and hold it for you until you can view it if you’d like to give us a modest deposit. (The deposit applies to the purchase price, of course.) It is located in Morris, Illinois (southwest of Chicago on Interstate 80).  If you are looking for an “easy-to-care-for” Toyota RV, please call on the phone if you want to learn more about this special project we have now finished. Call 626-798-4566, leave a voicemail if you get it and we will call you back.
